Client Portal

A design concept for Selfly

Here is the whole website, built.

Rather than send you flat pictures of pages, I built the real thing. Every page works, every menu opens, every link goes somewhere. Open it on your phone and click through it the way one of your clients would.

Around eighty pages · Works on phone, tablet and desktop

Before you start clicking

What you are looking at.

This is a complete design concept. The layout, the colors, the type, the way the menus behave and the way each page is organized are all real and all finished. What is not real is the content sitting inside it.

  1. The words are sample text

Names, rates, dates, credentials and article text are stand-ins so the pages have something to hold. Nothing here is a claim about your practice.

  2. The photographs are stand-ins

Stock imagery throughout, including the portrait on the homepage. Your own photographs replace all of them.

  3. Nothing is connected yet

Forms check themselves but send nowhere. No scheduling, no payments, no newsletter, no tracking. The site is hidden from Google.

The thing to look at first

Three ways to work with you, without three separate websites.

The hardest problem this site had to solve is that you serve three different people. Someone looking for therapy, a clinician looking for supervision, and an organization looking for training all arrive at the same front door and all need to feel like they are in the right place.

The section under the homepage headline is where that gets solved. Have a look at it and tell me whether the order and the emphasis feel right to you.

Your reaction

What I am asking you.

Does this feel like your practice?
That is the whole question. Not whether the words are right, because they are not the real words yet. Whether the feeling of the thing is you.
Is anything missing, or plainly wrong?
Something you offer that has no home here, something given too much room, something given too little. Easier to move now than later.
Anything you actively dislike?
Please say so directly. Nothing here is precious, and it is far cheaper to change at this stage than after the real site is built.

The next step

If you like it, here is what happens next.

We move into content. That means your real words, your real photographs, your credentials and licensure, your rates and the organizations you work with. Some of that I will write with you, and some of it only you can answer.

Then the site gets built properly on WordPress, so that once it is live you can edit your own pages, publish your own articles and add services without needing me for every change.

Have a look, then tell me what you think.

No need to be polite about it. Blunt is more useful.
